    File/Open view (2000)

In the File/Open dialog box, is there a way to change the default view to list? It seems as if there is a reset that always changes it back to preview. For example, I go in today and I change the file/open view to list, I work in PPT all day and it continues to show in list, so far so good! However when I go in tomorrow after closing and opening PPT it is back to preview again. I have not been able to find anything anywhere to make it always be list. Please help.

No joy for you I afraid, as <!mskb=242520>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 242520<!/mskb> makes clear. Although if you want to experiment with Visual Basic, this <!mskb=301459>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 301459<!/mskb> article offers a suggestion of a workaround.
