Items shifting on different computers (PowerPoint 2000)

<img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20> I have created a ppt presentation that includes a Slide Master (new stuff for me). Across the top is a black banner with our company logo on the left. Then in the presentation I have added white text on the right as titles to the slides. Everything looks wonderful on my computer, but when my boss opens it on his the logo seems to push the text to the right causing it to wrap, thus pushing everything on that slide down. I brought up the presentation on my computer and changed the video resolution thinking that maybe that did it but it did not cause things to wrap. I'm using Centaur font which I thought was on most windows computers and it is on his computer, so I'm really confused. I'm running Windows XP with Office 2000. My boss is running Windows XP and Office 2000. His secretary is the same and her computer shows a messed up presentation too. Somebody please help!

    Can you post a sample?

It makes it easier to visualise the problem.

It certainly looks like font substitution is taking place - try this:
When saving on your computer go to the Tools menu in the Save As dialog, choose to Embed True Type fonts.
    See the attached picture.

    Tell me what happens.

Wow, I'm with WebGenii, this sure does look like a font substitution issue.

One way to tell for sure is to go to Format/Replace Fonts on your boss's computer and look for ??? in front of any font names. If you see those, you're missing fonts, and embedding as per WebGenii's suggestion should resolve it.

In addition, I had a bizarre display issue just this week that was kinda sorta similar. It was resolved by turning hardware acceleration down far enough to disable Direct Draw and Direct 3D Acceleration. To do this, right-click the desktop, choose Properties, go to the Settings tab, hit the "advanced" button and go to the Troubleshooting tab. That's the hardware slider. Move it left a few notches.

But do try the font thing first.
