Situation: a mailmerge class exercise in which the students were to experiment with simple filters (clicking drop-down control next to data source heading and making a selection). For some, the process worked as it should. For some, choosing one of the options from the filter list produced no change - all data records remained visible. For some, the selection became semi-permenent. Filtering for 8 in the BirthdayMonth field might result in all the other records STAYING hidden, even after clicking the filter button again and choosing ALL. Exiting Word and opening it again reset the records, but this is a pain. I have not spotted what is causing the different results. Is there a bug? Or are these folks really doing something wrong?
