Return to OE V5 (Remove OE V6 & return to OE V5)

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to remove Outlook Express V6 which arrived when I migrated to WIN XP Pro and re-instal OE V5.1 which I've been happly using for yonks

The reason for wishing to do this is that I've discovered that PGP V 7.0.3, (or any later versions I'm told), won't integrate into OE6 and I'd like to keep using my Pretty Good Privacy Freeware version to from time to time encrypt the text of my emails

I've tried to re-instal PGP V7.0.3 but it just send OE6 crazy

Does anyon know if there is there any way to overcome this problem integration problem with OE V6 or how to safely remove OE6 and re-instal OE5.1 ?

    Awaiting any assistance

    Thanks in advance

Another approach would be to install the freeware version of PGP 8 which is available from http://www.pgp.com/products/freeware.html. This doesn't provide the "plug in" integration with outlook, but "Decrypt and verify the current window" from the system tray works well.

    Stuart

Thanks very much for you help again

Yes I can live with what you suggest !!

I can encrypt the email text if I go to the Tray and invoke PGP's encryption function from there

    Cheers n Beers
