    Offline Public Folders

I've set up an Exchange 2000 server which houses users' Calendars and Contacts folders for sharing. I would like to enable laptop users running Outlook 2002 to synchronize these folders for offline use. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

Have you looked at the Outlook 2002 help on synchronization? It is fairly good.

    Re: Offline Public Folders

Yes, I read the Help topics, but they say that the Calendar and Contacts folders (the two which I want to synchronize) are already set up to be synchronized by default. However, this is not the case on our server. I went through the steps twice, and after testing it each time, the folders failed to synchronize. In fact, when I click the folder shortcuts in my Outlook bar while offline, it tries to connect to the Exchange server and complains the server is unavailable. Am I overlooking something trivial? Everything works fine when the LAN cable is connected. It just won't replicate to a local .ost file for offline use.

    Thanks!
