    Formating: APA and MLA (XP 2002 SP1)

    does word have a formating or "style" for APA or MLA formating?

    No.but you can likely find Word templates for APA or ALA at their web sites or, perhaps, included with the book for each respective style manual.

    There is no built-in style for APA or MLA-type documents, but a quick Google yields lots of sites offering free templates for downloading. Here are just a few (I haven't actually tried them myself):

    MLA:

    APA:
    http://www.tc.umn.edu/~gwin0005/apa-template.html
    http://www.music.miami.edu/research/APAstyle/

    If you want to search further, enter something like "MLA template microsoft word" or "APA template microsoft word" in the Google search box (without the quotes).
