    Mapped Drive dropped randomly

I help a small shop which has a 4 client peer-peer network with a variety of OS's. A Win/ME machine, which is mapped to a drive on a Win/2000 machine, randomly drops this mapping when starting up in the morning. After a re-boot of the ME machine, the mapping to the Win/2000 machine is successful. The Win/2000 target machine is always running when the ME machine is booted.

Any ideas on what may cause this? Both other machines in the n/w (Win98 and another Win/2000) never drop the mapping. Of course when I arrive to check the problem, everything is running fine!!

    Tnx
    Mike

Mike, is the drive letter just disappearing from Explorer and/or the command line? Or is it showing disconnected?

Mark, Tnx for the response... it is showing as disconnected (red cross) in My Computer.

I've come across this before, but only when using W2K (I've never used ME). The old red X is quite well documented - see if any of the links below help. I'm not sure if this problem is with ME or W2K...
