    Screen shots of Palm?

I'm looking for an application to capture screens from a Palm. I looked at the POSE, but it seems a little complicated for my purposes as I'm not a developer; I'm a technical writer who just wants to capture screens for the doc for a custom Palm application.

Any suggestions or experience with such an application out there? Any and all input is very much appreciated!! THANKS!

    Re: Screen shots of Palm?

I just checked with one of my fellow tech. writers who just wrote an online manual for a palm application. He said that he didn't know of anything that would take screen shots of the palm screen. (he did a web page that the palm could access for help. No screen shots included.)
I did get a few suggestions from the peanut gallery however...
put it on the scanner bed...
take a real live picture of it...
    draw it in paint...
    I work with a bunch of comedians... <img src=/S/doh.gif border=0 alt=doh width=15 height=15> <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>
I hope someone else has a better solution for you.
    have fun

Don't know if this is what you're looking for...but I happened across it today while browsing for other software.

Also found this one (nothing else required here apparently).

    Re: Screen shots of Palm?

Thanks, Chris and KT, for your responses. KT, my client actually tried putting the Palm on a copier and using a digital camera to get screen shots, but neither of those methods worked for him.

I downloaded both of the apps that you mentioned, Chris, and will try them. I saw a negative review of Jolly Roger on palmgear.com, so I was a little leary of it. I'm glad to know of the ScreenShot Hack. It sounds like exactly what I'm looking for.

    Thanks!

I'd love to know what you think if you try either. We're done with the help we needed so far... but I'd like to keep a review (good or bad) for future reference. Posting back here once you've played would be greatly appreciated.

I'll check 'em all out and post my personal experiences with them when I'm finished.

Thanks again for all of the help and feedback!
