Input Grid on a userform (Excel 2K SR1)

    Hello,

I am trying to add a grid to a userform in order to collect information from the user. The grid should have a fixed number of columns, but an unlimited number of rows. I have tried using things like the DataGrid and the Flex Grid, but they do not allow input; they only display data. Is there a standard control that would allow what I am asking?

    Thanks,

I don't think there is a standard control for this. The Office Web Components include an ActiveX spreadsheet control, but you need to have Office XP for that. If you search the web for 'spreadsheet control', you will find several third-party solutions.

What about a control that opens a worksheet and traps the worksheet on close, at which time you can grab the stuff yjr user entered?

P.S. I just checked there is a Microsoft Office Spreadsheet control for both Office 2000 and Office XP.

Office 2000 has the spreadhsheet controls and it does exactly what I need. Thanks for your help.

My Next question is. Does the spreadsheet control work with Excel 97?

    Thanks,

It isn't likely, but someone else may be able to say for sure. Office 2000 is based on VB6 and Office 97 was based on VB5. The controls aren't usually backwards compatible.
