    JPEG File extension (6.0 SP1)

I just had to format my hard disk and reinstall W2K and IE 6.0 (downloaded from the update center). I installed W2K, then downloaded all of the updates from the update center. Previously, if I right clicked on a JPEG image and did a Store Picture As, it was stored with a .jpg file extension. Now, it is being stored with a .jpe extension. This is annoying because the next time I right click and do a Store Picture As into the same directory, it does not list the previously stored files. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Hi Legare:
There's a thread starting at <post#=209391>post 209391</post#> that might help. There's also some stuff about extensions in the thread starting with <post#=192186>post 192186</post#>, especially by R2, but I think it's a little further afield.
    Hope this helps.
