    Disk Usage (XP Pro)

Reported (not actual) disk usage gradually increases unless I reboot, when it returns to normal. Without rebooting resported disk usage grows gradually from actual use (<20gigs) until disk is reported full (80gigs). Any ideas?
    thx

One possibility is that you have an application with a memory leak and the pagefile is growing to fill the disk.
Can you use Control-Alt-Del to find the Task Manager and look on the Performance Tab to see if page file usage is increasing.

You do have a virus-catching program installed, don't you? Could be you've picked up a stinky critter somewhere along the way, if not virus then maybe one of the spyware variety. If you haven't already, you should try AdAware and/or SpyBot, widely talked about here in The Lounge.

I have just about every security guard I can think of: NAV (with clean scan of whole system, with up to date virus definitions); Ad-Aware, Pest Patrol and SpyBot scans.
