    Conditional Formatting (XP)

How can I create a conditional formatting where a blank cell is formatted yellow. The options are Less Than, Equal To, Between, etc. - but no option for "Null" or "blank".

    Re: Conditional Formatting (XP)

When setting conditional formatting you can base the condition on either the cell value or on a Formual evalauting to a chosen value. When setting the condition,, the dialog box has a dropdown box so that you can select either

    1. Cell Value is

    or

    2. Formula Is

In your case you can select Formula is and use =ISBLANK(A1)

This will apply the condition if A1 is balnkk in this example. See attached screen capture.
