    Crashed Hard Disk Woes...

    Hi,

We have a crashed hard disk with important data.
It is detected by the BIOS but cannot be seen by the Win98 O/S - what can we do?

The data on it wasn't backed up & was very important to the user.

    Thanks,

    m.q.

Can you give me some information leading up to this problem? How do you have the Hard Drive configured on your machine? Is it the Primary Master { C: Drive } or is it a second Hard Drive and if so is it A Secondary Master? I'm not sure if you mean you can't boot up, or you can boot up, but can't see the second Hard Drive.

    Hi,

Our techie geeks seem to have solved this problem.
I'm not going to try to ask them how 'cause they speak pseudo-hexacimal & their synonyms give me vertigo!

    Thanks,
