    Doing calculations (Access 2000)

I am working on an Access database. I need to do some calculations and the only way I know how to do them is in a form or report. The problem is I need those calculations put into a table to be able to use later. Is there anyway to transfer these calculations into a table or can you do calculations in a table? I hope this is not to confusing...........Thanks

What sort of calculations are doing? Normally, you would do the calculations in a query.

The information is shipping information. The calculations are to figure out how much product is to be put into a railcar. The product is first weighed to figure out how much product is still on the car and then calculations are made to figure out how much to load.

I assume the shipping information is in some sort of table. Again, use the query to generate the calculations and then pass the query data to the report. Summary type calc's could be done in the report.

I personally would do the calculations in the query and pass the query as the data for the report.
