Macro Assignment (Word 2K)

I assigned a macro to a toolbar button I created. I would like to keep the button as is but would like to assign a different macro to it. Any assistance on how to accomplish this is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Word doesn't have a built-in way to change the macro assignment the way Excel has. You can do it as follows:

Note the name of the toolbar and the name (caption) of the button.

Activate the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11).

Activate the Immediate window (Ctrl+G).

Type

    CommandBars("ToolbarName").Controls("ButtonName"). OnAction = "ModuleName.MacroName"

followed by Enter. Of course, you must subsitute the appropriate names.
Alternative:

Select Tools | Customize... in Word.

Drag the macro to the desired toolbar position.

Right click the "old" button and select Copy Button Face, then right click the "new" button and select Paste Button Face.

Drag the "old" button away from the toolbar.
This does not really let you keep the button, but the effect is the same.
