    Small Mailings (OE 6)

Win98... Our local Habitat for Humanity office needs to send out a weekly mailing to, lets say, 120 volunteers. They are using Outlook Express and have the list split into two mailings to 50+ addressees. The mailings regularly drop a few names each time! They are usually the same names each time but all those addresses work fine for individual messages.

Any idea why OE would drop names in a group defined in the Address Book or what can be done to prevent the problem?

Does anyone know how many addressees can be used in a single OE mailing?

Is there a better solution for mailings of this size?

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi, Bill ~

I don't think you are limited by OE, but rather your ISP. Many providers limit mail to 25 per hour or 50 a day or whatever their terms may be. The addresses that are consistently dropped may well be the ones being dropped in the queue. You may need to check w/ the provider.

    Bruce,

That does sound like a possibility for where the messages are being dropped. We'll check with the ISP and see what they say.

    Thanks,
    Bill
