mail merge duplicate fields on same form

<img src=/S/headthrob.gif border=0 alt=headthrob width=15 height=15> Within a given mail merge form, the "last_name" mail merge field needs to be inserted twice in two different areas. When the merge is run, the merged form shows the first record's name in the top mail merge "last_name" field and the second record's name in the second mail merge "last_name" field. How much of a role does the insertion point of the "Next Record" field play?

There must be a way to have each merged form be unique. Help!

Re: mail merge duplicate fields on same form

The next record point plays a huge role. This is used when for example using labels and having different names and addresses on one sheet. When using a form letter you can insert the merge fields as many times as you want on a page. They should all show the same record. If when field codes are turned on you see "next record" delete it and you should then be ok.
