    Margin indicator lines (Word 2002)

When I got home from a few day's travelling, I noticed faint grey lines in every corner of the page showing where the margins are. I could not find how this had been turned on or work out how to turn it off again.

After making quite a few changes for other purposes I noticed that they have now gone again.

Does anyone know how these are enabled / disabled?

I believe those are part of foriegn language support - Asian language support to be specific.

Thank you, that makes sense, I had been using a right-to-left language on my travels.

I can't get the feature back again though!

I thought it might be text boundaries, but these include dotted lines for the whole margin. What I saw was just the two short lines joining at each corner as in the graphic.

    Whoops! Fingers quicker than brain. <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15> I should have looked more carefully.

If I remember correctly, you have to access the Language Settings control. To get there, hit the Start button to Microsoft Office Tools (in Programs). You should find it in there.
