I have always (years ago) heard/read to turn on displaying hidden files/all files, etc., via Folder Options, View tab. The idea was that if you got an "evil" attachment, it might show as filename.jpg, but the REAL name would be filename.jpg.vbs. I can toggle extensions on/off in Windows Explorer, but cannot get the e-mail Attachment Warning dialog to NOT show the extension. This is for a demo only, as I would normally want to have extensions always visible.
Has there been some OL/OE security update(s) to always show extensions?
