    Data Checking + Typo Location

What techniques can people recommend for structure and typo checking of data. Are there any features built in to Access 2000 (not including input masks (say the data has been imported) which can be manipulated, to make restructuring easier than visual checking and manual correction without writing VB code or creating queries?

    I'd appreciate any responses

    Thanks Graeme

The only tool I can think of is AutoCorrect (Tools-->AutoCorrect...), which will bring up a standard autocorrect dialog. You can also put field level validation rules in the table design or in forms.

It isn't clear what you mean by 'structure' and 'restructuring' or why you want to avoid code and queries.

    Thanks Charlotte,

I am just trying to see if there was anything that could be given as a "quick" tip to Database managers/operators (my profession) to improve the quality of data (the product) without requiring them to aquire skills that can be described as, "complicated" to those who don't already have them. I'm not an expert myself but I get by and you guys obviously are so "what the hell".

    Thanks again <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15>

Validation rules are easy to work with (although there are limits to what you can manage to check just with validation rules). Check out the builtin help on validation rules.
