Error in WWW 6.04

Text states (WindowsKey) + D minimizes all windows - tried but did not work. What DOES work is (WindowsKey)+M. I haven't customized any key settings. Comments?

Works for me and has for a LONG time.

Most of these have been around since the Window key first appeared, Windows 95.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Have to agree with Dave. Has worked on my system all along. Have you run something (or does something run at startup) which changes the keyboard mapping? I'd check all the startup programs.

Never had a prob with mine either. Can you try another keyboard maybe?

    A couple of further observations:

Win+D toggles minimise/restore all windows, as long as you don't open new windows meantime

Win+M minimises application windows, but not dialog boxes (or their underlying app windows)

Win+Shift+M restores all windows, whether minimised by Win+D, or Win+M

Win+Tab only cycles thru taskbar buttons and doesn't change focus until you select the button (especially noticeable if buttons are grouped).

Alt+Tab cycles thru all open windows (whether minimised or not) and changes focus directly to the selected window. [/list]

Tim is right -- and WWW is wrong about Alt-Tab and Win-Tab. You will note WWW says they do the same thing -- they do NOT.

Win-D is simply "Desktop" -- so, yes it "minimizes" everything because it CLEARS everythig down to the Desktop. Win-M will "minimize" windows that specifically have a minimize option.

Just a further comment to the Alt+Tab and Win+Tab -

Alt+Tab forces a dialog to appear with the program icon, and when the keys are released the window selected will pop into the foreground, even if it's minimized. Win+Tab cycles through the entries on the taskbar, and when you release the keys nothing happens (although the focus has changed) - you must press ENTER to make the selected application/window active.
