    Windows 2000 SP1 keeps freezing???

Each time I open an application (eg. Word 2000, eg. opening Favourites sidebar in Internet Explorer)on Windows 2000 Professional in a pure Windows 2000 domain, it freezes. Other open windows may be accessed and used, but Word, for example, will stay frozen for a couple of seconds. When tried to run Permance Monitor, it froze as well, leaving a gap in the graph!

Has anybody else come across this problem? Or have ideas on what may be causing it?
Interested in any options. Cannot get performance monitor to produce anything tangible.

Re: Windows 2000 SP1 keeps freezing???

For some reason, all freezing problems I have personally come across in W2K are either video or mouse orientated.
Might be worth checking that both of these are reported as 'OK' in System Information | Hardware Resources
