    Editing icons bar

Sorry, folks, I know for a fact that this has been covered but I can't remember where or find it and of course we can't search at the moment! So apologies for repeating a question.

Sometime ago, maybe a few months, someone put up a post that described how to change the list of options that you get down the left hand side of an 'open document' window - by default (on my machine) they are big icons for history, my documents, desktop, favourites and network. The post I'm thinking of described how to go into the Registry and set it to have ten small icons instead of five large, and make them point to whatever you wanted.

Can anyone point me to that post, or if not, could someone remind me, please? I've had a hard disk crash and want to set it up again.

    Many thanks
    Beryl M

Maybe it's 'cause it's early in the AM Beryl, but I'm not sure what window you mean by "open document window." Do you mind posting a screenshot, please?

I think this may be relating to Office documents - the old Places Bar thingy?
Try this post from General Office.

(Actually, I just noticed there is a link in the final post of that thread from MaryJ for changing the 'places' in general suitable for ME....)

Thanks, Al, but Leif's reply was the one I was looking for!

When I said the 'open document window' I simply meant the window that comes up when you click on File, Open in a program.

Many thanks, Leif - that was it! I just couldn't remember that it was called the Places Bar!
