Relatively new to Visio - simple question (Visio 2002 SR1)

I know there should be a way to do this. I am creating a flow chart using basic flowchart shapes. Is there a way to set the shape to automatically resize to fit the text that I'm typing in the shape? Example - I'm using the Decision symbol (diamond), and typing a whole sentence in it, and the text is overflowing the top and bottom. It seems like there should be an Auto setting to automatically make the diamond resize to fit the text. Or vice versa.

    Thanks - Satiria

    Hi Satiria

I don't think so. As you have probably found, there is an "auto-height box" in the Basic Flowchart Shapes that automatically re-sizes to fit the text - but there are no diamonds, circles or other non rectilinear shapes.

If you ever find auto-resizing flowchart shapes then please post back here, I'm sure that others would find them useful too.
Maybe one of the developers who follows the lounge will see this as an "opportunity"
