Tools/Options Setttings (Word XP/2002)

Good day ladies and gents. I've been trying to figure out where Word XP stores its Tools/Options settings. I'm aware that some of these settings are stored in the WIndows registry (the network I'm working with is Windows 2000), and some are stored locally in the global templates, including the normal.dot. Does anyone know of a resource that points out which settings are stored where? The Microsoft website has not provided useful info on this yet in my searching.

    Thanks!

    Rob

(Edited by Phil Rabichow on 13-May-03 09:38. to add link to MVP site)
Hi Rob:
See Step 4 in <post#=197827>post 197827</post#>. Substitute 10, instead of 8 or 9. You cannot edit the key directly (well you can, but it's stored in a binary form). That key affects both options & toolbars.

For more information about what is stored in the DATA key, see What exactly does the Data Key in the Registry store?
    Cheers,
