Font Default (Win XP HE )

In using Outlook - supplied in XP HE , I find that every time I go to create an e mail , the colour of my dafault font will change, one time black, next time red . I have gone back and checked the default font etc but find it weird that the Colour , changes with each e mail ?? Thanks te

Are these creating new emails, or are some replies?

The blue will be used when doing a reply or forward, are you sure you are opening a NEW email?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Just checking that it's Outlook 2002 (Office XP) vs. Outlook Express 6.x (comes with Internet Explorer/Windows). If it's OE, we'll slide this thread over to the next board to see if your symptoms are recognized over there.

In the mean time, does this color problem vary with the format? For example, does the new text color vary between new HTML format e-mails and new plain text format e-mails? Are you using any stationery?
