    Conditional Sum Wizard (2000)

Does anyone know if you can include an "or" argument as a condition in the conditional sum wizard?

No, the conditional sum wizard only does "AND" conditions. It is not terribly difficult to roll your own formula, though. Here is an example: you want to add cells in C2:C7 if the corresponding cell in B2:B7 is "a" or "b". The following formula, confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter to make it into an array formula, will do this:

    =SUM(IF((B2:B7="a")+(B2:B7="b"),C2:C7))

The + between the conditions acts as "OR". You could use * for "AND". You can even combine AND and OR:

    =SUM(IF((A2:A7=1)*((B2:B7="a")+(B2:B7="b")),C2:C7) )

sums cells in C2:C7 for which the corresponding cell in column A is 1 AND the corresponding cell in column B is either "a" OR "b".

Thanks, Hans. I wonder if the Excel folks know about or plan to do anything about this? It sure would be nice to use the Wizard for this type of scenario.
