Mpeg File in PowerPoint (PowerPoint 2000)

Is it possible to insert an mpeg file into a powerpoint slide and have it embedded into the file. When I insert the mpeg file it keeps looking for the file on my hard drive. I would like to be able to copy the presentation to another computer and not worry about the mpeg file.

The only multimedia file which can be embedded into PPT is a WAV. So your MPEG will be linked, sorry.

One way to help with the paths, though, is to copy the MPEG into the same folder where your PPT file lives before you insert it into the PPT file. Then when you move the PPT file and MPEG to another computer, PPT knows to look in the same folder for the MPEG.

    Lindld:

Have you considered Pack and Go (File Menu)? This will include linked files.

Thank you for your help. I will try and convert the files to .wav format.

Thanks for your help. The pack and go option was not one I had ever head of. Because the presentation has video files and audio files in it this seems to be the best option. I need to email the completed presentation and have it work on a different computer. Thanks.
