    Invert Color in Column Chart (Excel 2000)

    I have a column chart with both positive and negative numbers. I want to automatically turn positive columns to be Green and negative ones to be Red. I use "Invert if negative" in column property. However, all negative columns become transparent or white. Can I define the Invert color ? Thanks !

    YES.
    Select format data series
    In pattern tab select "fill effects..."
    Gradient tab - select 2 colors.
    Select color2 for the "negative color" YOU do NOT need to set the "positive color" yet.
    Click <OK> and then <OK> to close the format series.
    The series have a "gradient color"
    Format dat series again
    In pattern tab select the "positive color"
    <OK>

    If you do NOT close out (of format series) after setting Color2, but select the positive color then, color2 will NOT take!
