Update slowdown (XP Home)

I had to do a re-install of my OS a few days ago (no problems - worked fine), but now that I've downloaded a few hotfixes it's just draaaaaggging along like a snail. I suspect that one of the updates is causing this. Anyone know which one? (see attachment)

The one that really slowed the system down for a lot of people was 811493 and that is not on your list. I have all the updates listed in your document and I experience no problems with my system.

Hans,

I remembered something from W.O.W. along those lines, but thought it was 810833 (wasn't sure). Thanks for clarifying, I guess I'll just have to keep looking for the cause.

Bryan, the best thing I think you could do at this point is to either A) use System Restore and roll back your changes, or remove the hotfixes from the Add/Remove Programs applet. Then, apply them one at a time and see how the system performs after patching. Don't restrict it to the hotfixes alone, but if that's your most recent changes then it's a likely culprit.

Mark,

Yeah, looks like that's what I'll have to do. Unfortunately I can't do that during business hours - looks like another long day.
Thanks for the input!
