    Common Dialog Box (Office 2k)

Can someone give me some info on how to open the Windows Common Dialog Box through Access? I need to have that open, then select a file (picture) to go into the database.

The attached database contains a Class Module that you can use to open and save files. See the little sample form for an example of how to use it.

P.S.1 The database is in Access 97 format, but it converts to Access 2000 without problems.
P.S.2 Don't store pictures in your database; store the path and filename instead. Storing images will cause your database to bloat.

That's a cunning piece of code, Hans.

    Pat,

I didn't write it (although I adapted it a bit), but I don't know where I got it from any more - it may well have been from this forum.

It looks a lot like the code from The Access Web, although there are versions of this code floating around all over the place. I have some very similar code that I turned into a class so I didn't have to remember how to use it! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
