email reminder of Calender appointment (2000 SP3)

I use Hotmail's Calender because I can email myself appointment reminders the day before. In June the "free" Calender will cease to exist (I would have to buy MSN 8). Is there a way to email myself reminders of Outlook Calendar appointments? All I see is the silly sound notification.
    Thanks,
    Trimer

To e-mail yourself a reminder you'll need code; a good example is in Slipstick SendReminder. You'll also probably have to set your reminders with a longer notification time, or change the code so that it runs once a day and reads and e-mails tomorrows appointments.

    JohnBF,
Sorry to be so tardy in replying. I downloaded VB script from Slipstick. It says to "Place this code in the ThisOutlookSession module". I'm a bit of a neophyte but I can't find the ThisOutlookSession module.
Can you give me some tips?
    Thanks,
    Trimer

Excuse me if this is a bit brief, and terminology not quite accurate. With Outlook as the Active application, press Alt-F11; the VBE window, per the attached, should open. the "explorer" like stuff you see on the upper left is the code explorer, by pressing the "+" signs you should see the "ThisOutlookSession" icon; double click it if it isn't open. Next, on the right side Code Window, click the upper left (object) drop down and select Application. Ignore the fact that an Item Send event may be created for you. On the upper right drop down (procedure), select Reminder. Paste the Slipstick code in the middle of this procedure, edit it so you don't have duplicate

Private Sub Application_Reminder(ByVal Item As Object)

    and

    End Sub

lines. Click the save button. Close and restart Outlook, set up a reminder for 5 minutes time and see if the reminder e-mail fires. Post back if not. HTH.

    JohnBF,
Many thanks - it's working perfectly.
As my old Aussie post-doc friend used to say "Good on ya, Mate!"
