Multiple conditions for 'SUMIF' Function (Excel 2000)

Is there anyway to put multiple conditions to the function "SUMIF". For example, add numbers in column c if cells in column a equal to X and if cells in column b equal to Y.

Look at Array Formulas in <post#=255332>post 255332</post#>. Post back if you need help.

Super-easy way? Add a formula to column D and sum it.

    =IF(AND(A1=x,B1=y),C1,0)

Put a =SUM(D1???) at the bottom.
    Not sexy. But works.

    Try,

    =sumproduct((a1:a100="x")*(b1:b100="y"),c1:c100)

DoryO: That is a great solution. I like that kind; I probably would have spent a long time trying to concoct an array formula...
