    unwanted ads & Filter (2002)

2 things. #1, How do I tell outlook to pass thru attachments that end in .exe, or .bat, etc. I keep getting a message that says they are being restricted due to the probability they may contain harmful stuff. #2, How can I filter out unwanted ads?, specifically, porn. I have grandchildren operating this computer.

    1. Download and install Ken Slovak's Attachment Options. It will make the set of attachments that can't be opened configurable.

    2. Outlook offers some built-in protection: click Tools | Organize..., than click Junk E-Mail. Select the option(s) you want.

Tell the grandchildren to stop giving out their addresses! But seriously, can you segregate the accounts so they only see stuff intended specifically for them?
