Outpost Pro V.2 has been released

After almost a year of development and revision Outpost Pro V.2 has been released. There are far too many changes and improvements to even begin to list. But some of the major improvements are total compatibility with XP and ICS, automatic rule configuration of all applications AND networks, improved logging, low resource/memory load, etc., etc..... As one of the official Beta Testers of this program, I can assure you that this is a marked improvement over the previous version. Agnitum has set a new benchmark for the personal firewall industry which will send all their competitors scrambling.

Currently only the "Pro" version is available for download as a 30-day trial. However, the good news is that all those who were using Outpost Pro V.1, even if your license has expired, are entitled to a free upgrade to V.2. The free version is due to be released in the very near future.

Re: Outpost Pro V.2 has been released

Good stuff - thanks Jeff. I tried the original version of Outpost and have since become a paid owner of Sygate's firewall, but I always hoped that Outpost would prove to be a good bet. Now I need to find a machine to test the new version on. Have the user interfaces improved at all? Thats was one of my beefs about the previous version, along with the bug that cropped up on high-speed connections.
