Create a drop down list for column (excel 2000 sr-1)

I want to create a list of names in worksheet one, then in worksheet two under a column called NAMES have a drop down list that provides the names on worksheet one. Can someone provide a bit of help?

One idea is to use Validation. In order to use a list on another worksheet in validation, the list must have a name. So:

Select the list of names on worksheet one.

Type a name, for example NameList, in the cell address box in the formula bar.

Switch to worksheet two.

Select a cell or a range of cells under NAMES.

Click Data | Validation...

Select "List" in the first dropdown list.

Enter =NameList in the Source dropdown list

If you wish, visit the other tabs of the dialog.

Click OK.[/list]
