    ICS (Internet Connect Sharing)

I have Internet connect sharing running on my two computers. This allows my old computer to access my new computers dial-up internet connection via my two computer network. It works great, with one problem.

When I close Internet Explorer from my old computer, the dial-up connection (on my new computer) does not disconnect or prompt me to disconnect. I have to go to my new computer and disconnect it on my own. Any suggestions? <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

about the only good one is to set the ie dialer on the ICS host system to close after xx minutes of idle time.

some of the sharing utilites (wingate, winproxy etc), includes ways of manually closing remote connections but ICS does not.

oh, almost forgot. you could use a program that lets you access the other desktop to disable it.

I use VNC. It's listed in the software finds forum. If you look around the net you might find something that controls just the remote dun.
