    FollowHyperlink

Got a client who has started rolling out IE5.5. Yuck, I know. Anyway, with A97, the followhyperlink method of the application object fails when calling pdf files. Doesn't matter if the client has the full Acrobat or just the reader, Access throws a -2146697201 error. I believe that's just a saying that IE is griefing about it. Works fine with 5.0.

    Thanx...

You may have to dig deeper for the cause of your error. That isn't an Access error, and I have no problem following a hyperlink to a PDF file from Access 97 on my WinNT machine with IE 5.5 SP1.

It seems that it's only certain pdf files. I'm thinking it's a certain version of the pdf creator that's being used. Not sure what was used to create these files, I'm still researching that... I'll keep everyone posted. The files won't come up properly with IE5.5 at all.. no problems at all with any 4.x or 5.0x versions. grrrr... <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>
