Getting the year out of a date

    <font face="Comic Sans MS">Hello..

I can't seem to be able to find the answer to this. I have a column of dates, but I need to do a pivot table based on the years. How do I extract the year from the date?

    Thanks!

If the date is in A1, then =Year(A1) will give you the year.
