Sharing files between Win 2000 and XP

I have a Windows 2000 desktop and a Windows XP (Home) laptop. I use a wireless network to share the internet connection. I'm told that from a hardware perspective, I should be able to share files over the same connection.

Question: I can't seem to figure out how to set things up properly to see the shared folders from one computer to another. I've set up a folder on the Windows 2000 computer as shared, and tried to open My Network places on the Windows XP machine, but I don't see the folder listed.

I'm very new at this and would appreciate any help.

    Thanks!!
