    Windows XP Home Edition (1)

How do I access the bios on XP home? I am trying to enlarge my startup screen on my laptop.

    Thanks,
    br

On most machines, when you power on there will be a message somewhere on the screen saying hit a certain key to enter setup. 'Setup' in this case is the BIOS.

Not sure what you mean by ""enlarge my startup screen", but if you're after a higher screen resolution just right-click on the desktop, select "Properties", "Settings" tab, and drag the slider under "Screen resolution" towards "More".
I don't think you can do anything useful with this in the bios, but you should be able to access it during boot, by pressing "Esc", "F1", or whatever key is designated for bios access (should be in your PCs docco).

Instead of attempting to access BIOS, try F5 or Fn+F5.
