    Slow pagination in W2000 (Office2000/W2000)

I have a Word 2000 document that has around 130 tables, each on a separate page. The problem is that pagination is incredibly slow - usually it takes 10 minutes or so. This makes it very slow to print etc. Is there any way of speeding W2000 up ? I don't have this problem in Word97.

    Many thanks.

Re: Slow pagination in W2000 (Office2000/W2000)

    Hello Garry

I am assuming the document was produced in Word 97 originally. Now when it is opened and saved down, is it as a Word 97 doc? Have you checked the compatibility tab from Tools/Options/Compatibility to see if the recommended options are for Microsoft Word 2000? We had the same type problem when the firm upgraded to 2000. Once old docs were saved with the compatibility set for 2000 and as Word 2000 and not backwards to 97, lot of our problems started to go away.

    Just a thought

    Regards

    Hetty,

Many thanks. I've changed the settings and pagination seems faster.

    Cheers.
