    Missing library?! (2000)

Ive gotten one of those problems which appear out of nowhere. That or someone's been medeling.

Normaly a drop down list of names or phone numbers is used to go to a customer's record. Now when you click on a name the attached message comes up.
This happens on only 1 of 2 networked computers, previously its worked fine. The file is stored on the computer which works.
    Any ideas?

Right off hand, I woud suspect a missing reference of some sort. A second possiblity is that someone installed new software of some description and overwrote a DLL or OCX or a library database.

Sounds like references to me. Are there any missing references?

Do you think re installing access would be the easiest way to solve it?

No, the first suggestion, that it may be a missing reference is the easiest one to deal with. Reinstalling Access is only required if a library has been overwritten. Check your references first.

    Re: Missing library?! (2000)

Outlook 10 is Outlook 2002. Is that the version being used anywhere? All you need to do to fix it on your machine is to deselect the Outlook 10 library and look through the list for another version of Outlook. Outlook 2000 was Outlook 9. If it is not in the list, you can use the Browse button to locate the outlook library for 2000, which is msoutl9.olb.

yes... outlook is being used on one of the machines... will there be conflict using the same database? I suppose i already have the answer to that. Is there any way of stopping the oulook 2002 machine changing the reference?

No. Windows is "helping" you by fixing the reference on whichever machine opens it first. What you'll need to do is put separate front ends on the individual machines and link them to a single data database (tables only) rather than trying to share the same application from a single location.
