Long Integer in the field (Access 2000)

    Defining LongInteger

Can somebody tell me how can i define the LongInteger? I have the following line of code :

    Set fld = tdf.CreateField("ClientID", dbInteger)
However, i want to define Long Integer in the filed, and not Integer.
I can define the Integer as dbInteger, but dbLongInteger is not accepted, it is false. What is the right way ?

    Use dbLong.

It is possible to find this in the online help, but it has become much more difficult in Access 2000 and 2002 than it used to be in Access 97. If you press F1 with the cursor on CreateField, you'll get DAO help; in the Contents tab, you'll find Type under T in DAO Properties, Reference.

You can also use the Object Browser. Type dbInteger in the Search box. You'll see the other possible values in the Members pane.
