    Auto filling cells (2000)

I am trying to create an auto fill for the cell with the names and addresses in the attached file. For example if I type a 'B' in a cell in the 'NAME' column, then I would like to be able to choose from all the 'Bs' and have it fill the name in the 'NAME' column and the address adjacent to it in the 'ADDRESS' column. Hope this makes some sense!!

You can use Data | Validation to let the user select the name from a list. Validation doesn't work with a range address if the list is on another sheet, so I named the list of names NameList.

You can use VLOOKUP to look up the address corresponding to a name; I named the name+address list AddressList to make the formulas more readable. If also put in ISNA to prevent the formula from displaying #N/A if the name is empty.

    See attached modified workbook.
