    Removing Pocket PC

I've recently tried to re-install my Pocket PC from scratch after completely rebooting it. Problem is my laptop still remembers it's old name so forces me to rename it. Does anyone know how to completely remove all existence of Pocket PC so that I can do a clean re-install? <img src=/S/crazy.gif border=0 alt=crazy width=15 height=15>

Yeah! Been there before umpteen times and don't know the answer. Its a pig isn't it!

I can tell you that whatever the new name being given for the PocketPC on your desktop, there will be a fresh My Documents folder created , e,g. ,<newpocketpcname_My Documents>. If you then transfer everything thats in your current [list=1] into the <newpocketpcname_My Documents> everything should link up correctly when you next link.

Trying to get this lot working when you try to link with 2 desktop machines is a complicated way of calling in the guys in the white coats! I've given up. Microsoft have obviously not tried to use their own software in the real world.

Thanks David - I guessed as much. I don't really have documents to link to but it's stil a pain having to think up new names for the same PDA!!
