    Email Custom Form Results (2002)

    Hi Folks,

Wondering if anyone has ever succeeded in creating custom form results in FP? What I am up against is a form that submits via email. The recipient would like to recieve the email in formatted, form lay out style rather that as a text file where each result is listed on a different line as appears to be the default in FP. For instance the results would look like the form filled out online but with all of the data which was input displayed. Then this would be emailed to the recipent of the form. Anyone care to help on this one, is it possible with FP?

    Any help appreciated,
    K

FrontPage doesn't offer any formatting on e-mailed form results. If it's necessary -- for a paying client, for example -- to provide "pretty" results then get them in a form such as comma-delimited file -- for example-- which is readily available and then import the results from e-mail into a WORD file (think MailMerge). I know, that's complicated but isn't that why you took up computers? <img src=/S/compute.gif border=0 alt=compute width=40 height=20>

Bottom line as I've studied this through several versions of FrontPage is that you need to do some Java work.

    Thanks Bill!

Actually I went with a CF script and it works just fine. You are right, the import into word would confuse the user so I need to give them a pretty copy to look at in the first draft. Thanks!
