Fixing a date for a specific Day (2000)

I have a task that is dependant on a predecessor but I need the dependant task to always start on the next MONDAY from the date the predecessor ends.

I would like this to happen automatically, rather than having to force it.

    Any help is most appreciated.

    Thanks

As far as I know, there is no easy way to do this. You would need to write some code that checks for the ending date of the task and then move the dependent task start to the following monday. There may have been a post on this in the past.

Would this apply to all tasks or just specific tasks?

    Thanks for your feedback.

In this case it is only one specific task that needs to start on a Monday and it is followed by a whole list of dependent tasks that would be driven form that Monday date.

    JW:

If your problem task happens to be <= 1 day, you could create a task calander with Monday the only working day.

This is a neat idea. Try linking the new, less then one day task, to the parent task as a start to finish relationship with the calendar of only working on mondays. Then link this as a start to start with the task you want to start on Monday.

Wish I thought of this. Great idea Tony.

Tony's idea is simple and ingenious and should work.

Try linking the new, less then one day task, to the parent task as a start to finish relationship with the calendar of only working on mondays. Then link this as a start to start with the task you want to start on Monday.

    Tony -

    You are the MAN!!!!

    It works perfectly.

Thanks so much, we've been trying to address this for several weeks when a friend mentioned this board.

    Now I have a solution.
