'OE removed access to the following attachments..' (6.00.2800.1123)

    The full message is:
"OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: P05.PDF,P20.PDF"

I'm sure it's happened before, but without the Search facility, I can't readily find the answer.

    1) How can I get at these files?
    2) Can I stop OE considering PDFs could be dangerous?

    Thanks!

If memory serves, you can forward the message to yourself and in the new message window the attachments will appear. But the list of "unsafe" documents is, I believe, hard-coded into Outlook Express. Yeah, it's a dumb design decision.

I think this is an SP1 issue - see this page from Novatone.net.

    Gentlemen, I stand (well, sit, really!) in awe at your skills! <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23> <img src=/S/salute.gif border=0 alt=salute width=15 height=20>

I went with Leif's suggestion (an excellent reference, indeed!), because it will keep on working without me having to do anything further if ever I get any more of these critters...
