Simple Question: Delete Block Y/N? (XP)

Can anyone remind me how I stop Word from asking whether to delete a block of text when I hit the Delete Key? I just want to be able to highlight text, hit delete, and have the text deleted, but Word displays a message in the Status Bar: Delete Block Y/N requiring me to click Y on the Keyboard.

Is this a keyboard setting or an Options setting?

I'm sure I've encountered this problem before, but I can't remember how it was solved, and the HELP Files are absolutely no Help at all!

    Thanks in advance.

    Brian

    Hi Brian:

Go to Tools, Options, General and uncheck "Help for WordPerfect users" and "Navigation keys for WordPerfect users"
